Removing Columns

You can remove a column from a table by means of the Delete Column command in the context menu. The same command is located also in the Table|Delete Column menu and in the tool bar. This operation removes the column for which the context menu has been opened or the column with an active cell. You can also select multiple columns and remove them at once. Column selection is explained in chapter Table Data and Presentation Appearance.
When you select the Delete Column command, a window appears allowing you to select the level at which the column should be removed. You can merely hide the column – an equivalent to hiding it from the context menu (see chapter Table Data and Presentation Appearance), or you can remove the column at the data, view, or presentation level. This process is analogical to column insertion – see chapter Inserting Columns. When you remove a column at the data level, it is automatically removed also at the view and presentation levels. When you remove a column at the view level, it is automatically removed also at the presentation level.
