Standard Tool Windows

Standard tool windows allow you to monitor and modify properties of the data you are currently editing (e.g. text formatting etc.). These windows are not “modal dialogs”, which you would have to close before you can continue working with the application. On the contrary, you can always leave these windows open so that they continuously reflect the properties of the object that is currently being edited. Whenever no relevant object is being edited, the tool window shrinks to mere title. The contents of the tool window reappear as soon as a relevant object is made active again.
