Is Equal

x == y
The operator compares the values x and y. If x is equal to y, the operator returns TRUE, otherwise FALSE. If the specified values are not of the same type, they are converted to a common type first. If a comparison without conversion is desired, it is necessary to use the identity operator === instead.
Caution: It is necessary to distinguish the comparison operator (==, two equal signs) from the assignment operator (=, one equal sign). The first determines equality of two values, while the other assigns a value to a variable or a data item.
