f <- close
f <- close()
The parameter f is a variable of the type File. The file must be open with one of the functions open or create. This function closes the file. Closing the file stores possible not yet stored data to the disk and terminates the manipulation with the file. After that, it is possible to call an open function again for the variable f.
If the variable f is destroyed without calling close/abort, and the file was open with the FILE_OPEN_ATOMIC flag, all the files are discarded. In other cases, the file is regularly closed.

Return Value

An l-value referring to the variable f is returned. If an error occurs, an Error value is returned.
