Numeric Types

The basic numeric types are Int – integer number and Real – real (decimal) number; other numeric types are used rather rarely.
Type Name
Description
Int8
An integer number between –128 and 127 (8 bits)
Int16
An integer number between –32,768 and 32,767 (16 bits)
Int32, Int
An integer number between –2,147,483,648 and 2,147,483,647 (32 bits)
The Int32 and Int names are synonymous and mutually interchangeable.
Int64
An integer number between –9,223,372,036,854,775,808 and 9,223,372,036,854,775,807 (64 bits)
Byte
A natural number between 0 and 255 (8 bits)
Word
A natural number between 0 and 65,535 (16 bits)
Dword
A natural number between 0 and 4,294,967,295 (32 bits)
Qword
A natural number between 0 and 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 (64 bits)
Real
A real (decimal) number from the ±1,7 · 10±308 interval with a precision of 15 decimal places
