Dispel Definition Type

Every dispel (control) class is assigned a corresponding data type that is used to store information about the dispel properties. This type is called the dispel definition type. Its instance is a dispel definition object. Every existing dispel always has an underlying definition object. Changes of the definition object content are immediately reflected in the dispel appearance.
All dispel attributes stored in the definition object can be also defined by means of an expression; therefore the type of every attribute (component) of the definition object is a union of the inherent attribute type and the Enki type. If an Enki language expression is specified instead of the attribute value, a computed item determining the attribute value is internally created according to the expression. As data items determining the attribute value change, the value of the computed item is recalculated, and the dispel appearance immediately changes accordingly.
Dispel definition objects are normally defined by the dispel definition editor. Dispel definition objects are normally stored in the Presentation document section corresponding to the document.presentation document object component (see the chapter on the respective data type Document_presentation_def). If required, a specific dispel definition object can be created in the document data and displayed using an indirect dispel. This allows you to easily produce a dispel whose structure is dynamically transformed. You can also create a dispel definition object as a local variable in the Enki language and display it using the ask or edit functions.
General dispel definition independent of the dispel class is assigned the Dispel_def type that contains the particular definition type of the required dispel.
