Window

Sfairadora windows conform to Windows standards in terms of functionality, plus they have some extra features. First of all, Sfairadora always maintains the optimal size of a window to make sure that the largest possible portion of the window contents be visible, and thus the scrollbar need not be used, and also to prevent the window from unnecessarily covering the contents of other windows. Sfairadora also determines the optimal position of a window upon opening to prevent it, whenever possible, from covering other windows. Sfairadora further ensures that the active control and, if applicable, the cursor in it be always visible – either by scrolling the contents of the window or by repositioning the entire window if the cursor would have to be displayed beyond the screen border.

Fixed Window Size

Sfairadora provides several functions beyond the Windows standard to control the properties of its windows. First of all, the desired window size – both vertical and horizontal – can be manually set. Simply grab the border of the window with the mouse and drag it to the desired position. The width (or height) of the window is thereby fixed, and does not automatically change thereafter according to the contents of the window. This condition is indicated by a small square in the bottom right corner of the window . If you wish to release the window again, simply double-click the border of the window that you wish to release. Double-clicking the window title releases the size in both directions. Similarly, if a window is divided into panes, the split bar dividing the panes can be dragged to the desired position, which fixes it. The split bar can be released again by double-clicking on it. If a window has a fixed size in any direction, and the size of the main application window (that contains the fixed window) is being modified, the fixed size of the inner window changes proportionally to the size of the main window to prevent the inner window from remaining beyond the border of the main window.

Window Visibility and Position

Resizing a window could result in part of the window being located beyond the main window (or screen) border. In such situation, Sfairadora repositions the window so that the entire window is still visible. If you wish to have part of the window beyond the main window (or screen) border, you can drag it with the mouse so that part of it is beyond the border. From this moment on, Sfairadora will no longer move the window in this direction to keep all of it visible. If you wish to see the entire window again, you can either drag it back to make all of it visible or double-click its title. From this moment on, the window will be in the always-visible regime again.

Navigating between Controls

In general, controls in a window are activated either by a mouse click or by any of the below listed keys. The possibility to work with Sfairadora comfortably using only the keyboard counts as one of its indispensable merits.
